From FDR Drive South, exit at 53rd Street. Go to the second light and make a left on Second Avenue. Parking is available on 52nd and 53rd Streets between First and Second Avenues.

From South:
From FDR North, exit at 42nd Street. Make a right on First avenue and go to 53rd Street. Make a left and go to first light and make a left on Second Avenue. Parking is available on 52nd and 53rd Streets between First and Second Avenues.

From West:
Take the Lincoln Tunnel and follow signs for uptown. At 42nd Street, make a right. Stay on 42nd Street until First Avenue. Make a left on First Avenue and then go to 53rd Street. Make a left and go to first light and make a left on Second Avenue. Parking is available on 52nd and 53rd Streets between First and Second Avenues.

The times for all events are: Happy 1/2 Hour at 7:00pm, Speaker at 7:30, Q&A at 8:00, and Socializing at 8:30.

Two opportunities to see the Pope on Saturday, April 19th

1.   5,000 tickets are available to greet the Holy Father on Saturday, April 19th as he arrives at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Tickets are currently available on a first come first serve basis are acquired by registering online by 12 pm, Monday, April 14th at www.flrl.org/popetickets.asp Tickets will be sent in the mail to those who register online.

(Those who receive tickets must enter the security checkpoints at 6th Avenue between 6:00am - 8:00am. The Holy Father will enter the Cathedral at ~ 9:00 am.)

2.   There will be another opportunity to see the Holy Father on Saturday afternoon. The Holy Father will be traveling in the Popemobile from the area of the Cathedral up 5th Avenue to 72nd Street at 1:15 pm. The sidewalks along this route are open to the public and no tickets are necessary.

Avery Cardinal Dulles, S.J., will give his Farewell Address as Laurence J. McGinley Professor of Religion and Society (1988-2008) on Tuesday, April 1, at 8:00 p.m., at Leonard Theatre, Fordham Preparatory School, Bronx, NY. Response by Rev. Robert P. Imbelli, Associate Professor of Theology, Boston College. The lecture is free and open to the public. A reception will follow. Book Discussion: Sacramentum Caritatis

I believe it is most important to start our book discussion on something that is most in line with our mission and what could be better than the apostolic exhortation of the Holy Father on the Eucharist as the Source and Summit of the Church’s life and mission- Sacramentum Caritatis.  I invite you to attend our first meeting this Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Chapel of San Lorenzo Ruiz, 378 Broome Street, NYC, after the 12:30 Mass.

Holy Thursday | Visita Iglesia

Visita IglesiaHere is a wonderful activity organized by Geraldine.  Experience a Filipino Tradition in Midtown.  Join us as we visit Churches within the city in vigil of the Blessed Sacrament and in contemplation of the agony of Christ. We will assemble in front of the St. Paul the Apostle Church, 415 W. 59th Street and Columbus Ave (9th Ave) NYC, after the 7:30pm Mass. We will be praying the rosary and possibly singing hymns as we walk from one church to another so don’t forget to bring your rosary, candle, and a crucifix. Candles will be available for sale at the St. Paul the Apostle Bookshop. This is a good opportunity to be a witness to our faith on the streets.
